The Shore Break, Doah's Daydream, and Twin Fin

Doah’s Daydream:

Doah’s daydream was born in ocean beach San Diego during the 2020 pandemic. They are the Pioneer of new genre, “Island Grunge”. Island Grunge is a pop rock genre and subculture that emerged during the 2020 pandemic in ocean beach, San Diego. Island Grunge fuses elements of hard rock, punk and Hawaiian island pop reggae. Lead singer Doah was born in South Korea, grew up in Oahu. Currently in San Diego turning her daydreams into reality as a performer/ singer songwriter. Her love for reggae island pop R&B music fusing with hard rock punk has created something so unique and powerful. Doah’s Daydream is a band you must see live. They put on a uber passionate, sexy, high energy performance that you will never forget.

The Shore Break:

The Shore Break is 5 piece fusion of reggae, rock and hip hop based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Starting in 2017 with friends Ben Tishman (guitar, vocals) and Jordan Puhek (bass, vocals), the boys began playing music together by covering songs at house parties and slowly incorporating songs they wrote together. Soon, it snowballed into playing at local bars, beaches, backyards and open mics all around the island. As the music evolved, the pair recruited Bens younger brother Daniel Tishman (guitar, keyboard) and also their musical compadre John “Gnar Bones” Peig (drums). In 2020 The Shore Break went into the studio with veteran engineer Pierre Grills and record their first self tittled EP at Roundez-Vous Studio in Manoa valley. The band recruited local musician and friend Clare Nelson to join the band and help with vocals. The project resulted in a five song project: The Shore Break EP. The EP includes a mix of Reggae, Funk, Punk Rock, Psychadelia and Hip Hop, in what a professional album review called "sonically unpredictable." Following the EP the band released 3 singles: “Island Fever”, “First State of Mind” and the latest “Danger Dub” featuring L3vitar, a dub reggae artist from Venezuela. The Shore Break was also featured on L3vitar’s debut self titled album on the song “Soul Surfer”. The band is now independently recording/producing a full length studio album “Pray For Surf” due to release summer of 2022.

Twin Fin:

Twin Fin makes the kind of music that will guarantee you wake up with a hangover and a whole bunch of good memories. One of south shore’s finest group of musical mustached men, their original songs are inspired by friends and the pursuit of a good time. Longtime friends Robbie Kelly and Tyler Schiller began writing music together in a high school band in California. After moving to Hawaii the boys realized their newfound friends rip on guitar and drums. With the addition of Chase DiGregorio and Zack Wilson, the band has since created a phenomenon, selling out every show at max capacity. If you love having the best night of your life you’ll probably end up at their next show.
